Hi! I’m Alex
I’m a Geneticist by training and I’ve worked in gene therapy for ~decade across academia (Yale, UW-Madison, etc.) and industry (Gordian Bio). Previously, I spent four years building a longevity startup in San Francisco, developing gene therapies (AAV) for complex, polygenic, age-related diseases like HFpEF, Osteoarthritis, NASH & Pulmonary Fibrosis. My technical background is mostly in gene therapy 🧬, in vivo models 🐭, and sequencing/single cell biology.
I currently work for a longevity startup in Silicon Valley where we’re trying to develop gene therapies (ORF+AAV) for complex, polygenic, age-related diseases like HFpEF, Osteoarthritis, NASH & Pulmonary Fibrosis. My technical background is mostly in gene therapy/editing 🧬, in vivo models 🐭, molbio/sequencing and single cell biology.
I’m passionate about solving nuanced and difficult problems, and love thinking about science (of course), sci-comm, health, people, community, and a whole lot more.
